Fan Encounters

Were you lucky enough to meet Scott? Share your story with us! :)

Amy's Fan Encounter
I've become such a huge fan of Scott since I started watching him on "Felicity." He's such a hottie and a sweetheart! Hehe! My love for him has only grown over the years. Most of all because I've actually met him back in February of last year. It was the taping of the last episode of "A.U.S.A." The episode, "The Kiss." (Thanks so much for putting up the screen caps from that episode, by the way. ;) ) He was suuuch a total sweetheart! He's the nicest man and the nicest actor you could ever meet. I mean, he totally appreciates his fans. I got a picture with him and an autograph and I actually spent a lot of time near him that night, which was kind of funny. See, my mother and her boyfriend and I were in the second row of the audience and when the people that were in front of us got up and left, I moved down to that first row and when he passed by, I called out to him and he came over to me. I already had a letter that I had written for him ahead a time so I gave it to him. He was so sweet because when I told him that I started crying (I literally did!) when he came out, he touched my arm gently and was like, "Aww, don't cry." Heh. Then, there's another thing that you should know before I tell you this next part.

I'm an avid fan fiction writer. Mostly *NSYNC fan fiction and in November of 2002, I started working on a new story and created my very first character to bring into the story as my love interest. So I created this character who was a doctor named, Michael Brentwood. I already loved Scott before then but I wasn't as in love or infatuated with him as I am now. Anyway, I thought he would be the perfect person to play Michael so I created him with Scott in mind. Needless to say that after writing for my character, I immediately started loving Scott even more. Hehe! I made my character a little like Noel in compairison so it was already a given that I would fall in love with my character.

So, back to when I met Scott, I told him that I had created that character with him in mind and it was so cute. He said and I quote, "oh wow, my parents will be so proud." Hehehe. That was adorable. I was totally tounge tied when I was standing there, leaning over the railing talking to him but when he had to go, I just cried, "I love you!" Then he was like, "oh my goodness." I was so shocked that I had actually met him, I almost started crying. Then, after the taping was over, he went and talked to a few other fans on the opposite side and took pictures and signed autographs and everything. It was funny because when he took the pictures, he actually had to climb onto the railing and stand there with them. Eventually (and I thought he was so sweet to do it), he just climbed over the railing entirely and was right there with the audience. To show how much he appreciates his fans, everytime that he got done with someone, he would turn and look around and say, "who's next?" It was sooooo sweet of him to do that! I could have melted at that moment. The thing was, I really wanted a picture with him to remember the whole thing (duh!) and maybe an autograph. I didn't want to bother him though so I was hesitant but my mom urged me so I went over to him and waited until he was free. There was this girl that I had talked with earlier and became friends with and I noticed she had a camera. I didn't have one or bring one in of course but I asked her if she'd take the picture and send it to me in the mail so she said she would. I went up to Scott and I asked him, "can I get a picture?" and he said, "Of course, honey." My God! It was so hard not to die when he called me "honey" but I got the picture and he had his arm around me tightly. It was so awesome! I could've died! Now, in that letter that I wrote him, I asked him a question. I asked him if he would be willing to play my character Michael Brentwood if my story ever became a movie alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar and *NSYNC and he answered with this really sweet smirk, "I don't see why not." Oh my God. I said something like, "even as a doctor?" And he was like, "sure, why not?" That was the best moment ever! I got an autograph before I left too and he was sweet about it even though he had to go. He just said, "of course."
